Here's a piece from the DET about what Andrew Gait is up to:

Andrew, also 29, said Urban Fresh Fruit was a far cry from his days as a batsman on Derbyshire's books.

However, he felt that quitting the professional game was the right decision.

I had that feeling too, If not for DH keeping him on the books and never dropping him he would have gone earlier.
Although to be fair if not for him playing I wouldnt have met one of my closest mates who when we first met were at loggerheads about him. He said Gait was a good player and I disagreed.

I can always remember when Mark Eklid wrote a piece about AG entitlted "Gait opens up" and AG told how he was finally coming to terms with playing for DCCC and settled down. He was gone the next year....

Really ? Always liked Chris Taylor, felt that he had a big future at the club but i suppose when a player gets messed about by the chairmen or whoever there's going to be a bit of a grudge.

Got an email from CT wishing all the supporters at Derbyshire all the best. He said he loved every minute of it until it all went pear shaped. I wish him all the best at Yorkshire and I said a few unfair things on here in the heat of the moment for which I apologise for.

Mark Lawson
He has gone now so its okay to tell it like it is
Awful player, couldnt turn in the sub continent. Good for a least once four ball an over, sometimes two. Even late on the season he was rubbish.

Even though Lawson was good enough to take a couple of five-fers (actually, one six-fer) in the CC in his early days for Yorks.

Seems as though he must have been stricken with Tim Tweats Syndrome.

The one and only.....Nayan Doshi
Anyone know where he has been playing? surely he has not just been picked for the IPL
He once had the WORLD best bowling figures in 20/twenty before he came (and went) from the county ground
Still good figures though...perhaps JM is in touch!!

Wonder what happened to "Row-8" Khan

The only other side other than Clifton and Welbeck to grab the maximum 20 points were West Indian Cavaliers who beat Wollaton comprehensively at Birchover Park. The Cavaliers batted first and posted a competitive 260 for 4 led by Rawait Khan’s 116 from just 93 balls with veteran Dominic Williamson chipping in a useful 55 not out.
